The AS6024 Fast Response Contact Monitoring\u00a0Modules are designed to be used with pull stations, water flow switches, and other\u00a0applications requiring the monitoring of dry\u00a0contact devices. The interrupt driven Digital\u00a0Communications Protocol (DCP) combines\u00a0maximum communication reliability and fast\u00a0response to emergency conditions. The AS6024\u00a0contact monitoring module does not require a\u00a0separate 24 VDC power source.<\/p>\n

Each addressable contact monitoring module\u00a0is programmed with its own unique Signaling\u00a0Line Circuit (SLC) loop address. The device\u00a0address is electrically programmable and\u00a0stored in onboard EEPROM. Up to 127 devices\u00a0can be placed on the DCP SLC loop. The\u00a0module supervises the wiring to the contact\u00a0with an End Of Line (EOL) resistor. It can be\u00a0programmed to monitor Normally Open (NO)\u00a0or Normally Closed (NC) contacts. If a fault\u00a0condition occurs in the wiring, the module sends a trouble status signal to the fire alarm\u00a0control panel. When a change of status (contact\u00a0changes state) is sensed by the AS6024 it sends\u00a0an interrupt to the control panel indicating that<\/p>\n
